Alex taught my son’s class in year 4. As soon as it was announced he would have been the teacher the kids were so happy. I always wondered who such a popular teacher could be, until I met him and understood what the buzz was about and why all boys in the class had suddenly started to wear shorts the whole winter season. His smile and warmth were really infectious, and I shared with the other parents and kids the sadness when he left the school but admired him for the other goals in life he wanted to pursue. My son did not want to let go of him and agreed to have private lessons with him. He was a truly inspirational teacher; a positive role model and he will always live in our hearts.
